1、两词均可作名词表示“选择”，但在意思与用法上存在着异同。

2、（1）alternative，可数名词，它只有两个用法，一是表示“可作的选择”或“选择的余地”，也可理解为“选择的可能性”，此时，它可与choice互换使用。
